Precision engineering for Swiss type lathes

JBS System is the original innovator behind the flexible guide bushing system for CNC sliding head lathes. Designed to optimize machining efficiency, JBS guide bush systems provide precise, play-free guidance and clamping for material bars with varying outer diameters — whether in rotating or stationary conditions. WhizCut brings JBS guide bushings to the US and Asian markets, making this advanced technology easily accessible to manufacturers in both regions.

Advantages of JBS

  • No more material jamming
  • Quick collet change in just 2–3 minutes
  • Compatible with all materials
  • Custom-fit solutions for any machine or requirement

Flexible guide bushing systems

JBS offers systems for both double cone collets and pull collets, ensuring optimal performance across a wide range of applications. These systems adapt to the material during machining without play and in a plane-parallel manner, delivering superior accuracy and surface quality.

Benefits of the guide bushing system:

  • Reduced setup time
  • Lower material costs through flexibility
  • Long-term cost savings through efficiency

Digital air control integration

Now available with digital air control, the JBS system can communicate directly with your machine software — offering better control and automation. Choose between analog or digital configurations to suit your setup.

Custom solutions with absolute precision

Have unique requirements? JBS offers custom-made guide bushing systems. Using our mobile Hexagon Absolute Arm, we can scan your machine on-site and develop a tailored solution.

Collets for every application

With over 6000 collet models in stock and the ability to produce custom sizes on demand, JBS ensures you always have the right tool for the job. JBS guide collets work with all types of materials—from soft plastics to tough chrome steels—and are designed to handle both ground and rolled stock, following the DIN 1013 standard.

Collet highlights:

  • Available in double cone and pull collet variants
  • Suitable for all materials and diameters
  • TRA (True Running Accuracy) collets available with runout < 0,01 mm

Pull collets

Engineered for superior concentricity and rigidity, pull collets minimize contamination and reduce maintenance needs. They enable faster machine setups thanks to easy collet access, and their extended clamping length makes them especially effective for machining long threads.

Double cone collets

Perfect for high-tolerance materials, offering ±0,4 mm adjustment range.

High-Precision TRA Collets

The TRA (True Running Accuracy) collets, based on DIN 6499, offer superior concentricity. Standard collets have a max runout of 0,02 mm, while TRA variants achieve less than 0,01 mm. Available in both pull and double cone types, TRA ensures top precision for every application.
