Precise coolant delivery and pressure range
The high pressure coolant is directed through the WhizHip tool holders and exits very close, at an optimal angle between the cutting edge and chip. This precise delivery cools the insert, breaks off chips, and extends tool life. WhizHip tool holders are effective from 10 bar, with typical usage around 75-100 bar, and can handle up to 300 bar.
The WhizHip nozzle can be adjusted by 15° in any direction, allowing precise control of the spray. This flexibility enables optimal targeting not only at the cutting edge but also across the entire machine area.
Upgraded performance and better chip control with coolant
Coolant significantly improves performance when machining difficult materials like titanium. The high-pressure coolant helps control and break chips, reducing machine stops and ensuring a more consistent process. By maintaining optimal cutting temperatures WhizHip tool holders significantly extend the life of cutting tools.
Smarter parting off with double coolant
WhizHip delivers efficient chip control and superior cooling, significantly reducing the need for frequent tool changes and machine interruptions—resulting in increased productivity. The WhizHip holders in the WhizTwin series are equipped with a unique nozzle configuration: instead of two horizontal nozzles, they feature one positioned above and one below the cutting edge. This design ensures optimal coolant delivery, guiding chips out of the cutting zone in the most efficient way possible.
WhizHip tool holders are listed alongside all our tool holder systems in the product tables. Look for a ‘C’ at the end of the product number — it indicates high-pressure coolant!
