Chris Schmidt and Niclas Axelsson from WhizCut recently visited JBS System GmbH’s production facility in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. This visit was centered around exploring the innovative solutions offered by JBS System, particularly their flexible guide bush systems for Swiss-type automatic lathes and their extensive range of collets.

JBS System is renowned for developing the original flexible guide bushing system for CNC sliding head lathes. Their guide bush systems are designed to increase the efficiency of machining processes by providing precise guidance and clamping of material bars with varying outer diameters. These systems are capable of operating in both rotating and stationary conditions, ensuring optimal performance during machining. The guiding collets adapt to the material being processed without play and in a plane-parallel manner, enhancing the accuracy and quality of the final product.

In addition to their guide bush systems, JBS Systems manufactures collets in all common sizes and diameters, with the ability to produce custom sizes on demand. The choice of the right collet is crucial, depending on the material to be processed and its outer diameter. JBS guide collets are suitable for a wide range of materials, from plastics to high-alloyed chrome steels, and are designed to run synchronously to the jackscrew, adapting to the material during processing without play and plane-parallel. This ensures a quick and efficient collet change, taking no more than 2-3 minutes, eliminating the previously time-consuming and complicated adjustment process.

WhizCut America Inc. is the exclusive agent for JBS Systems in the USA. Chris Schmidt and Niclas Axelsson were impressed by the advanced technology and the commitment to quality demonstrated by JBS Systems.
