WhizCut and our MD, Chris Schmidt are strongly committed to developing and ensuring the supply of skills in the cutting technology industry, both locally, nationally and internationally. Chris was interviewed in Helsingborg’s business magazine WORK.
The city of Helsingborg has recently initiated an effort to develop industry-specific skills supply plans to improve the match between education and the needs of the business sector. Two of the companies that participated in the dialogue before creating the plan for the industry and manufacturing sectors are WhizCut and Automationspartner.
WhizCut moved our operations and head office to Helsingborg from Uppsala 20 years ago. Although we currently do not have local production, it is a future goal. Our MD Chris Schmidt, is dedicated to fostering the industry’s development on both a local and national scale.” He is the chairman of the association Skärteknikcentrum Sverige that works with validation and certification of professional skills as well as quality assurance of education. Chris wants to emphasize the importance of collaboration with the municipality and educational providers to ensure a qualified workforce for future production.
